The Idea
CampEats was founded to connect families to the outdoors through food. It has morphed a few times in its short life and is now a space for our family to share our nom-able recipes, tips, travel hacks, our passion for foodie snacks and outdoor gear nerdery.
You'll find honest real-life road tested reflections that are designed to help you up the deliciousness level of your adventure game.
Our Approach
After interviewing hundreds of travelers we've learned you don't need a new place to buy stuff. You have your go to spots - Amazon, REI, and Whole Foods are likely among them.
So instead of making ourselves crazy boxing things and charging you more in shipping instead we are sharing affiliate links to trusted retailers where you can find what we consider to be the best of the best.
We still sell our PocketPantry because the products aren't for sale on Amazon. We think this stuff is killer so if you want to spend a little on shipping you can enjoy foodie travel-sized foodie cooking staples.

The internet it is filled with opinions. But it feels like the Internets perspective on camping food is either how to use highly processed garbage to create sugar bombs or alternatively easy ways to whip up trail ready raw food delights.
Our tastes are some place in the middle. We love supporting small batch producers and using fresh ingredients. If that is your style we hope you'll keep us on your reading list for your camping nom inspiration.
